Example Johnny Smith won first place in the Geography Bee held at Signal Knob Middle School. A eighth-grader, Smith will go on to compete at the county level at 7 p.m Nov. 8 at Strasburg High School. Smith was awarded with a trophy, plaque and a year's subscription to National Geographic. He is the son of Darla and Pete Smith of Strasburg.
